Chapter 5
It’s Super Bowl Week! Every year for past few years on the Thursday before the Super Bowl, I always try to find an old football picture to “relive my Glory Days”.
This year is a picture of me in Pop Warner when I lived in Atlanta. I was a “wingback” for the West Marietta Sharks. This was such a super happy time in my childhood. The smell of freshly cut grass, the feel of the football… so many memories flooding back to me.
Despite me playing… my all time favorite part was my Dad always throwing the football with me every week. We would go outside every weekend because he would make time for me. We would toss it back and forth. He would throw me these “Hail Mary’s” high and deep into the air just like we saw Joe Montana do in person at the stadium and on TV when San Francisco wasn’t in town playing the Falcons.
Joe Montana was his favorite player and our connection was so deep with football that anytime I look at one today, I can’t help but think of my Dad and all the times he used to play with me.
The next version of Joe came when Tom Brady started playing the way he did. My Dad likes Tom Brady so that’s why this week I feel so compelled to share this story because it reminds me of all these memories growing up with my Dad as Tom Brady is making it back to the Super Bowl again.
We are all connected somehow. Somehow, you impact the lives of people without even knowing. Just your existence. It’s such a powerful thing to consider. This week I challenge everyone to reflect at understanding the possibility that you may be effecting someone in this world or in your life and not even know it! Hopefully you are making a positive impact and leaving lifelong imprints that bring joy and happiness to others!
Have a blessed day! (Enjoy the Super Bowl this weekend… I know I will because I have so much of my life invested in it ❤️)
